A SUMMARY OF EVENTS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2019-2020.
- Arts and Science Exhibition – 19th January, 2019
The arts and science exhibition is organized every year with a view to encourage and inculcate scientific temperament amongst students. The students showcase their talents in Arts & crafts , Science, Mathematics, Languages and Social Studies. Parents of our students and students from other schools were also invited to visit the exhibition. The hard work of our students were appreciated and encouraged by all.
- Valedictory Programme 2019 – 16th February , 2019
The Valedictory programme of Class X students was conducted on 16th February with our Chief guest Monsignor S. Jayanathan. The principal, Sr. Mary V A, presented the academic report for the year 2018 – 2019. The students of class X also shared their experiences. We also had our students Father sharing his experiences and gave some valuable suggestions to the students. The ceremony of “The Light of Liberation” started with the candle lit by the class teacher Mrs. Amal Clarance Mary and in turn passed to the students of Class X. The students sang the melodious hymn and took their pledge.
- Investiture Ceremony – 16th July, 2019
Our students witnessed their captains and vice-captains take up their responsibilities and profess their oath of office to carry out their duties with integrity, faith and excellence .The program began with the hoisting of the institution flag and singing a prayer song. The dignitaries Rev. Fr. Prashanth Madtha, Rev. Fr. Arun Santosh, Rev. Fr. Arulappa and Rev. Fr. Adrian Mascarenhas addressed the gathering, after which the new leaders were installed and received their badges and sashes symbolizing their leadership.
- Founders Day – 10th August, 2019
Founder’s day is a very important day in the school calendar when father, sisters and students meet to commemorate Archbishop Emeritus Dr. Benard Moras role in the development of the institution. We honoured his Grace Dr. Benard Moras with a small prayer , a bouquet , a birthday card with words of appreciation and we sang the birthday song which was appreciated by the Archbishop.It was our pleasure to have this opportunity to thank our founder and to able to spend some memorable time with him and to take his blessings again for our school and students.
- World Environment Day – 5th June,2019
The teachers and students of St. Antony Public School observed this day by holding a special assembly , in which we had the students presenting and spreading the awareness about deforestation, water scarcity and other problems faced in our environment. Our school gardener was appreciated and presented with a sapling for his dedicated work in the school garden. Our school management concluded this day by planting some saplings in our school premises.
- Kindergarten Talents Day – 29th & 30th August,2019
The 29th August began with recitation and story telling competition. Our little ones recited poems and narrated stories with great enthusiasm. 30th August , a fancy dress competition was held. The children were dressed in beautiful costumes.
- SPORTS DAY
Champions keep playing until they get it right.
On the bright morn of 29th November 2014, sports day was conducted with full vigor and enthusiasm. Our Saps participated in various sports and impressed everyone by a display of mass drill, thus making the day more colorful and bright.“Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing.”
On Nov 30th Sports Day was celebrated as eternal moments in the minds of SAPS.
Band performance by coterie was outstanding, reflecting our National performance. - Annual Day / Christmas Celebration:-
Annual day of St. Antony’s Public School, was celebrated on 19th and 20th with the spirit of peace and joy.Rev. Fr. Udaya Kumar Manager and Correspondent and the chief guest of the day applauded the graceful performance of students who entertained the parents with the true spirit of Christmas by presenting a spectacular visual treat (with carols, dances and dramas)
The students from Pre KG to VII std, highlighted the importance of giving, caring and sharing. The Christmas season was ushered with gaiety and fervor. The entire school was festooned with balloons, stars, colorful streamers, crib and Christmas tree. The highlight of the day was “Towards new hope for the world” the hour – long programme culminated with Santa clause dancing and distributing of sweets.
